Graduate students:

Prospective candidates should have finished their undergraduate studies and have some background in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science or a related discipline. Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with scripting (Perl, Python, etc.) and coding (C/C++, Java, etc.) would be a nice asset.

These positions require admission to the graduate program in the Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University.

Undergraduate students:

Please apply only if you are a highly motivated and responsible individual. You will be offered an opportunity to gain research experience in computational biology, but be prepared to break a serious sweat. No computing/programming experience is okay; however, you must be able to learn fast and demonstrate a high level of commitment to research.
